Memorial Medical Center
Lab Assistant
Strong interaction skills with medical center staff, physicians, and patients. Knowledge of laboratory disciplines and tests, specimen processing, charting, computer experience, filing. Performs venipunctures and other duties as assigned. Provides service to patients across the lifespan including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.
Medical Assistant
Provides clinical support to patients in the throughout the hospital. Provides continuity and coordination of care across the lifespan including newborns, children adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.
Job Requirements
Lab Assistant
Minimum Education: High School graduate orequivalent.
For positions with phlebotomy duties, completionof a formal Phlebotomy
course or clinical experience in phlebotomyrequired. Completion of a Medical Assistant or Certified NursingAssistant program helpful. Medical Terminology course or equivalentpreferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Minimum Experience: Clinical laboratoryexperience preferred. Computer skills a must/medical backgroundhelpful.
Medical Assistant
Minimum Education: High school diploma orequivalent.
Minimum Experience: Two (2) years clinicaloffice experience. Medical terminology, computer knowledge required.
Certification/Licensure: Possess a currentMA certification from AMT, AAMA, NCCT or NHCA.
For New hires: Certification must beobtained within 90 days of employment. If currently certified,must maintain current certification.
