Job Description

Facebook seeks professional to join the Infrastructure Facilities and Lease Accounting Center of Excellence in a full-time position. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in US GAAP accounting and reporting related to leases. The candidate needs to be able to work well with cross-functional teams providing guidance and making decisions as well as being able to perform detailed analysis while managing a significant portion of Facebooks lease and facility-related asset investments on our balance sheet.

Accounting Manager, Lease & Facilities Responsibilities

* Lead end-to-end lease accounting month-end close duties, subledger review, preparation of manual and system automated journal entries, review financial transactions, result analytics, account reconciliations, and internal and external reporting deliverables related to leases

* Coordinate the compilation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes deliverables related to subject area

* Responsible for compiling lease related disclosures

* Prepare technical accounting memos and update accounting policies (e.g., Leases)

* Draft various account analyses and reporting package for executive presentation under the instructions and supervision of the manager

* Research accounting implications of lease and facilities transactions or changes in the subject areas, reach conclusions with adequate level of rationale and documentation for review and communicate and present the accounting conclusions to the team

* Leads/participates in complex projects including responsibility for IT system improvements at a tactical level that directly has an impact

* Gain an understanding of the different focus areas of infrastructure investment including Facilities, Data Center, Fiber, Servers, Network and Storage and Infra Connectivity Programs and the associated accounting

* Work in close coordination on key compliance deliverables for international entities as it relates to lease accounting IFRS 16 through effective communications and globally coordinated execution

* Maintain and ensure compliance on SOX controls and assessments for lease related controls as well as audits performed by business partners, internal auditors and external auditors

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners to understand the broader business objectives, develop processes jointly and provide accounting guidance and best practice recommendations to enable process changes

* Provide mentorship, coaching and guidance to team and lead special projects and other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

* BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related

* 7+ years of financial statements auditing, financial accounting or similar experience

* Hands-on experience with ASC842 Lease Accounting Standard which includes lease contract reviews, lease identification, classification, amendment/modification, recording, reporting, reconciliation

* Experience with compliance, internal controls over financial reporting, and 10Q/K disclosures

* Experience leading a team

* Experience with technical memo drafting, Policy, compliance, internal controls over financial reporting

* Experience in optimizing or re-designing existing processes resulting from business needs

Preferred Qualifications

* Big 4 audit experience and CPA

* Experience with IFRS

* Experience with Oracle Financials and Hyperion

* Proficient in learning accounting systems
