Your Role and Responsibilities
The Hybrid Data Management (HDM) Cloud team is looking for enthusiastic and talented software developers to join us. Our services include Db2 on Cloud, Db2 Warehouse on Cloud, Netezza on Cloud and coming soon: Data Virtualization as a Service. Our services are tightly integrated with IBM Cloud Pak for Data where customers can access a suite of leading data and AI capabilities in a unified experience. This is your chance to be an integral part of a dynamic team of talented professionals developing and deploying innovative, industry-leading, cloud-based software. Design, develop and implement database features and tools to provide a secure environment for the product to be used by customers in the cloud. Evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance our service capabilities. Documenting and sharing your experience, mentoring others. Evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities. Conducting regularly scheduled audits on systems and hosting third-party audits as required in order to maintain certifications and compliance certificates. Define, implement and maintain security policies related to various compliance. Continuously perform vulnerability scanning, risk analysis and security assessments to detect any product vulnerabilities and develop and implement intrusion detection controls to prevent any intrusions into our systems.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* Knowledge of Linux/UNIX Operating Systems
* Understanding of with Virtualization and Containerization technologies
* Familiarity with Kubernetes clusters administration
* Familiarity with the usage of Cloud Services (IBM Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure)
* Shell scripting languages Bash/Perl/Python

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Relational Database technology expertise is an asset
* Java/C/C++ development skills is an asset
* GO programming language and Ruby to scripting as well
