Our Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) organization brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and platform. We plan to release multiple products over the next few years. In particular, we are building technologies or seemingly impossible products that define new categories that advance Facebook's mission of bringing the world closer together. We're seeking a leader to serve as the Privacy arm of the FRL Marketing Insights team, who demonstrates remarkable ability to make a difference by harnessing and translating strategic insights into actionable product marketing plans and strategies, as a part of FRLs important org-wide Privacy initiative. This high profile, high impact role will also help shape the future of our product lines, support the Future of Work portfolio optimization, and ultimately evangelize users interest within the organization.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional strategy and research skills across both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and demonstrate policy, messaging, touch point optimization, communications and B2B insights experience. This candidate will have proven hands-on experience as practitioner and leader, a hunger to drive significant business impact/outcomes, and an interest to remain deeply engaged in the execution of work. The ability to create and influence strong cross-functional partnerships with marketing and products teams is critical, and a passion for technology and Facebook is a must.
Product Marketing Insights Research Lead, Facebook Reality Labs Responsibilities
* Partner with Privacy, marketing, research and product organizations to understand consumer needs, and guide consumer research to deliver insights throughout the life-cycle of FRL products to understand privacy perceptions, and shape privacy policies and experiences.
* Design and execute comprehensive, best-in-class quantitative and qualitative research solutions across policy, messaging and consumer touch points, at both the product and portfolio/brand level. Leadership in technique and methodology is essential.
* Advocate passionately for the customer, ensuring that privacy experiences are aligned to user needs and expectations.
* Influence strategic and tactical decision-making and product planning through highly effective communication with all levels of stakeholders, including leadership.
* Develop and ensure cross-functional alignment on research roadmaps and learning plans.
* Ensure the customer and marketing insights are represented in marketing leadership planning discussions.
* Lead B2B research initiatives across Portal and Oculus products, balancing prioritization of short term needs as well as looking ahead to the next big challenge.
* Synthesize consumer insights and market signals into strategic POVs and action plans for an executive audience.
Minimum Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in marketing/market research or product research.
* Experience in a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods, knows how/when to utilize a CHAID versus a logistic regression, a shop-along versus mobile diary, a segmentation versus basic profiling.
* Experience leading insights-driven policy, privacy, communications and B2B teams from foundational exploration to GTM execution, driving impact and influencing product and marketing decision-making.
* Experience engaging with engineering and product stakeholders as well as brand marketing/communications stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience to quickly scale and prioritize activities, drive change and collaborate effectively with a variety of partners in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Experience managing research studies and programs across multiple global markets.
