Acquisition/Contract Specialist, Mid
Key Role:
Analyze, assess, and coordinate acquisition program documentation, including acquisition strategy, acquisition program baseline, and acquisition decision memorandums. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop and contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide the activities of junior employees.
Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with any of the following: procurement planning, pre-award documentation, post-award proposal management, or contracts administration
-Experience with providing contractual advice to customers and clients, including researching, analyzing, and interpreting complex acquisition rules and regulations
-Experience with the complete Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree required
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with FAR, DFARS, and DoD 5000 series regulations and laws, executive orders, statutes, policies, principles of acquisition planning, and other requirements necessary to accomplish assigned duties
-Experience with preparing briefings and reports preferred
-Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including using computer proficiency to effectively communicate complex procurement regulations, processes, and procedures
-MA, MS, MBA, or JD degree preferred
-Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) up to Level III in Contracts or Program Management, Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
