BDOs Data Analytics practice helps clients to grow revenue and profitability through value-driven insights. The Forensic Data Analytics Senior Associate demonstrates an investigative mindset with problem solving skills and the ability to think critically about data to deliver high quality work product for dispute, investigation, compliance, and other business risk matters. The Senior Associate is responsible for validating, querying and analyzing large complex datasets, supervising and reviewing the work of Associates, working with the engagement Manager, interacting with clients, and researching new tools and advanced analytics techniques.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Provides forensic analytics services to a variety of clients including outside counsel, regulators, and companies involved in litigation, investigations, disputes, regulatory and compliance matters
- Supports forensic assignments related to fraud, anti-money laundering, insurance claims, foreign corrupt practices act (FCPA), disputes and other matters
- Builds databases of transactional data, complex transactions, financial statements, and other data sets
- Develops working relationships with client contacts, building and growing lasting client relationships
- Analyzes financial records, accounting data, database extracts, and other data sets
- Prepares high-quality deliverables to ensure client satisfaction
- Builds strong internal relationships within BDO and with other services across the Firm
- Cultivates and maintains positive, productive, and professional relationships with colleagues and clients
- Acts with professionalism and integrity when working with confidential and sensitive information
- Maintains a proactive and logical approach to information gathering, combining complex ideas and clear and effective information presentation
- Identifies and researches new trends and tools, understands the data analytics marketplace while working on client engagements
- Interacts with senior members of client teams
- Works on international projects with potential 50% or more domestic and/or international travel
- Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervises the day-to-day workload of Associates on assigned engagements

Qualifications

Education:
- Bachelors degree, required; focus in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or Accounting, preferred

Experience:
- Two (2) or more years of experience in client-facing consulting, offering data analytics services for disputes and investigations matters or forensic, required
- Prior Forensic Consulting Experience, Required
- Prior financial and/or statistical analysis, business valuation, public accounting, and/or forensic analytics experience, preferred
- Experience in maintaining client relationships, preferred
- Experience in the following areas, preferred:
Forensic Analytics
Compliance Analytics
Business Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence
Fraud Analytics
Data Visualization
Data Automation
Data Warehousing

License/Certifications:
- CFE, CPA, and/or CAMS, preferred
- Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle certifications, preferred
- Tableau or Power BI certification, preferred

Software:
- Ability to write SQL queries and manage large data sets within SQL Server or other databases to support various forensic reporting, required
- Experience with Python, R, and/or other programming languages or tools, preferred
- Experience with data profiling and data management tools, preferred
- Experience with data visualization software, preferred

Language:
- Fluency on Spanish and/or Mandarin (read, speak and/or write), preferred

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong organizational skills, especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details

- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the Firm
- Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel
- Ability to encourage a team environment on engagements
- Ability to demonstrate client presence, with the ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements
