AWS is looking for a Value Realization Specialist to work with customers and internal teams to pilot and scale a new initiative around helping enterprise customers utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) during and after a migration to define and monitor success on the Cloud. You will work with the Migration Acceleration Program team to define key elements of the program, Cloud Economics to identify key business and operational metrics, customers to test different approaches, and build the go to market to enable account managers and the Customer Success organization to scale this initiative once completing a successful pilot.

The ideal candidate has a background which includes previous value management experience using business and operational metrics to help customers quantify value achievement, and has worked in large, complex technology organizations managing multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate must have the subject matter expertise of a value engineer, enough technical depth to understand the business impact and economic benefits of the Cloud, and developed programs that scale beyond their own individual efforts. Candidates will have demonstrated the ability to think long-term about the needs of complex global businesses and how the Cloud enables businesses to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:
Analyze the market of enterprise customers and prioritize specific workloads, industries and use cases for value realization.
Work with customers to identify repeatable challenges enterprises face in developing and tracking KPIs. Develop and launch methods, tools and programs with AWS teams to address these challenges.
Drive new thought-leadership within Cloud Economics based on the voice of the (internal and external) customer.
Explore new ways of communicating and quantifying the business impact of the Cloud.
Create working relationships across AWS organizations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of large cloud migrations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in Business or Engineering
6+ years value engineering experience at a technology company
Prior experience working with senior executives
Experience driving high-impact projects spanning multiple teams with numerous stakeholders within an enterprise technology organization
Experience working effectively across internal and external organizations, including sales, marketing, business development.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Understanding of AWS product line or other Cloud offerings
Demonstrated capability of understanding the complexities of IT environments.
Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as leadership skills.
Strong business acumen, analytical, and with a degree of technical depth
MBA or advanced business degree
Existing knowledge of drivers that impact large-scale cloud migrations
Must exemplify the Amazon Leadership Principles.
