Warehouse Supervisor 2nd Shift

Warehouse Operations Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Supervise, direct and assign work to all personnel on shift. Assist in meeting safety goals, satisfy BRC and Food safety, Lean participation and capital spending requirements and comply with SOP and GMP standards. Ensure KPIs and AOPs are met on a yearly basis. Manage Crew Supervisor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintain product safety and quality and legality for storage and distribution of product in accordance with the Big Heart Pet Brands quality policy and standards
* Direct and oversee the workforce by managing, WMS and WFM system for loading and unloading
* Oversee the loading and unloading, selection of orders, inventory accuracy, safety requirements and efficiency of the shift
* Communicate effectively and timely with all levels in the organizations
* Oversee Crew Supervisors, Shipping Coordinators, and Union/Non-Union hourly personnel.
* Responsible for safety and facility security on shift
* Ensure compliance to all contractual requirements
* Responsible for employee performance and discipline, enforcing and timeliness
* Comply with J.M. Smucker Co. Quality standards:
* Pest control
* Sanitation
* Maintenance
* Documentation handling
* Damage handling
* SOP
* Environmental
* Training of employees
* Security guidelines
* Detect and report potential equipment failures to avoid damage to or loss of equipment
* Willing to suggest changes or modifications to equipment or processes to help improve efficiencies
* Assure compliance to all quality standards: SOP, GMP and BRC requirements
SELECTION CRITERIA
Education
* A Bachelors Degree is preferred
Experience
* At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment is required
Other
* Must be willing to work 2nd shift schedule Monday Friday 2:50pm 11pm
* Some weekend work may be needed
* Strong computer aptitude (knowledge of warehouse management systems) and supervision experience required
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize
* Physical functions: sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting and carrying objects and/or supplies weighing 50 lbs. or less
* Exposed to warehouse environment with a wide range of temperatures and noise
