Job Description
The Visual Computing Middleware and Tools (VCMT) Team in Developer Software Engineering (DSE) group in IAGS is looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to run Media and Media Analytics projects. In this role you will manage a team of software professionals, architects and engineers developing Media and Media Analytics SW that utilize the combination of media decoding and processing, Deep Learning inference and classic Computer Vision capabilities on top of the variety of Intel hardware platforms starting from low power Edge devices like smart IP cameras up to powerful Cloud setups. As the engineering manager, you will set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage their performance. Provide direction and goals to the team and interact with stakeholders both internal and external. Out-of-the-box thinking and strong execution focused mindset required.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school-work/ classes/ research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's with 6+ years or Master's with 4+ years or Ph.D. with 2+ years in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
5+ years of software development experience including the areas listed below
* 5+ years of experience in software development, engineering management, and/or technical program management
* 5+ years managing a software team.
* 5+about software product life cycle, Agile methodologies, project planning, estimation, and risk management
* 5+ years of experience in Media/Image Processing / Computer Vision / Video Analytics software and technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Understanding of video encoding/decoding pipeline and standards like H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, AV1.
* Understanding of GStreamer, FFMPEG, or OpenCV
* Experience in Software Product management and communication/negotiation with customers
