Overview
We are looking for a PRN Speech Pathologist to join our Home Care team in Lafayette, IN! This interdisciplinary team is made up of RN's, LPN's, Home Health Aids, OT's, and PT's all working together to help the patients. This team works with all ranges of life, child through adult.
It is important for this individual to have at least 1 year of experience. This position is the only SLP on the team. There is a possibility that this position may do some training in Indianapolis. Traits of a successful candidate include, being a team player, the ability to think on your feet, organizational skills, flexibility, and time management.
This individual performs speech pathology services including diagnostic evaluations to determine level of impairment. After administering the appropriate tests and measures, a treatment plan is designed for improved communication and swallowing. Performs direct patient care services including the supervision of support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.
This is a PRN, day shift position. Hours worked will fall between 8:30am-4:00pm. There is autonomous scheduling, you get to build your schedule and make your day yourself.

Requires graduation from an accredited academic program in speech pathology or if foreign trained, graduation from a speech pathology education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA. Requires current license in the State of Indiana within 12 months.Requires a certificate of clinical competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for this certificate. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
