Sling TV provides an over-the-top (OTT) live TV streaming service on TVs, smartphones, tablets, computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and other streaming devices. Distributed across a variety of strategic device partners, including Roku, Google, Amazon, Apple, Samsung, LG, Microsoft, and Tivo, Sling TV offers two primary domestic streaming services that collectively include more than 100 channels of top content. Featured programmers include Disney/ESPN, Fox, NBC, AMC, A&E, EPIX, NBA TV, NHL Networks, Pac-12 Networks, Hallmark, ViacomCBS, and more.
We are looking for a Group Product Manager to join the Sling Product Management team to deliver a best-in-class service selection and subscription purchase experience for our customers. Revamping our purchase flows and enabling flexible and personalized experiences across web, mobile, and connected TV platforms will be critical for driving growth for Sling. You will collaborate closely with the Marketing, Product Design, and Engineering teams to define, build, and iterate on the checkout experience supporting millions of sign ups per year. You will possess deep product knowledge, an eye for the holistic user experience across devices, and technical understanding of supporting systems to drive the delivery of innovative product initiatives and core services needed to scale those initiatives. The role is based in Sling TV's Denver office
Responsibilties:
* Drive product strategy and collaborate with Product Design, Engineering, and Marketing to discovery and deliver the ideal shopping and checkout experience for new and returning customers across all platforms supported by Sling
* Continually experiment and optimize the entire purchase experience by forming hypotheses, designing experiments, and iterating based on the results
* Own the execution and excellence of the purchase experience - be scrappy, solve problems, and take an entrepreneurial approach to deliver against business outcomes and create a frictionless and delightful checkout experience
* Provide leadership to your cross-functional product team, consistently articulating product strategy, sharing learnings both good and bad, making difficult decisions and being accountable for them, prioritizing ruthlessly, representing the team throughout organization, and nurturing strong collaborative relationships within the team
* Recruit, lead, and develop a small team of strong and capable product managers
* Become the acknowledged expert in organization on shopping and checkout experiences on all platforms, web and in app purchasing flows
* Conduct user tests, research, and experiments to capture and understand real users' motivations, goals, and pain points
* Define, monitor, and analyze product metrics, and feed learnings back into the product development process
* Evangelize modern product management best practices and culture and continuously identify opportunities to improve our product development processes
Requirements:
* 5+ years of product management experience with history of shipping high scale consumer digital products, ideally e-commerce or subscription purchase experiences
* Experience building and optimizing in-app purchase flows for various platforms (Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon, etc)
* Passion for collaborating, iterating, and testing with Product Design and Engineering to discover solutions that exceed user expectations and drive business results
* Obsession with customers and experience personally conducting user research, testing, and experimentation to iteratively increase conversion rates in your products
* High comfort level in analytics and generating customer insights from data trends
* Can think strategically but is able to roll up your sleeves, get stuff done, and sweat the details
* Can communicate clearly and effectively - on paper, in person, over email/chat - across all functions and levels of the org as well as externally with partners
* Ability to lead and inspire teams to deliver on our goals
* Prior success directly managing a small team or coaching other junior product managers
* Passionate about the streaming, TV, and e-commerce industries
Compensation: $99,900.00/Yr. - $157,725.00/Yr.
