We are looking for a new college graduate to join our VeloCloud SD-WAN team. VeloCloud is the only complete solution with all the key elements of a CloudDelivered WAN. Job Role and Responsibilities:

* Understanding the key requirements for the Control and Data Plane features of the product, crafting a solution and delivering a working prototype and the final product
* Write high quality, well-designed and maintainable code.
* Analyze the product requirements and develop functional and design specifications.
* Adhere to VMware internal processes during the whole development cycle idea, requirements, specifications, designs, implementation, bug fixing, QA, support, etc.

Required Skills:

* Completed a BS or MS in Computer Science or related field recently.
* A solid foundation in computer science, with deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, Linux OS concepts and software design
* Strong understanding of TCP/IP and commonly used L2/L3 networking protocols.
* Proficient in C and experience in multi-threaded programming and debugging (gdb).
* Basic understanding of front-end technologies like HTML
* Experience in Python and Python frameworks like Django, Flask or Distributed programming
* Basic understanding of database concepts and Experience in SQL is desirable

Preferred Skills:

* Familiarity with using Tcpdump, Wireshark, Linux IP networking is desirable.
* Familiarity with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), QOS fundamentals (policing, shaping, queuing etc) or security protocols (IPSeC, PKI) is desirable.
* Prior experience in scripting (Python, shell scripting, etc) is desirable
* Prior experience in Devops pipeline and experience with Jenkins is desirable, but not necessary
* Proven critical thinking and advanced troubleshooting skills and qualities
* Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
