Title: Software Quality Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA or NC, Virtual

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Performing feature testing, system integration and regression testing
* Recreate issues reported in the field and help work to find root cause
* Troubleshoot production issues as well as work with development to make enhancements and fix bugs
* Work closely within the team to define feature priorities, deliveries, and product schedules
* Create and maintain automated tests
* Help Integrate POS with payment hardware and configuration
* Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends
* Participate in requirements gathering and documentation
* Live and breathe the agile mindset and work in a fast paced scrum environment
* Consistently deliver quality shippable software to our customers, being part of our Agile development team
* Produce technical documentation as needed.
* Help foster a culture of knowledge building across the team

Qualifications and Skills required:

* Significant experience with SQL and SQL Server
* Familiarity with HP ALM/Quality Center
* Experience in creating, documenting, and executing test cases
* Automated test experience
* Demonstrated troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
* A determined / persistent mindset, someone driven to find and solve root problems
* Ability to work independently and push towards results
* Familiarity with Windows operations, including software installation, basic device setup, and basic troubleshooting
* Familiarity with standard Microsoft Office applications

Experience in the following preferred but not required:

* Previous experience with Point of Sale, payment terminals, printers, scanners a plus
* Experience working or supporting a retail environment
* Knowledge of business practices, business software, accounting
* Familiarity with agile tools (e.g., JIRA)
* Experience with virtual machines
