Position Summary
Establish and drive the strategic direction for the overall social program to ensure it delivers against key business and consumer objectives, connects with the overall Marketing plan/key campaigns, and grows brand equity. Ensure social platforms operate as a connected part of the overall brand strategy and marketing efforts. Serve as key steward of the brand strategy and voice, driving consistency and connection across social campaigns while creating relevance for the brand among key consumer design targets. Act as enterprise social subject matter expert to identify best practices, innovation, and industry trends & insights. Essential Job Functions

* Create the annual social strategy, including defining key objectives, success metrics, and tactics, and gaining alignment with the Brand Building Leader & Marketing VP.
* Link plan to business and consumer objectives, including advancing the growth of the brand in line with our master brand strategy.
* Lead the annual strategy/joint plan with the social agency partner and ultimately be accountable for the work
* Lead all social campaign brief creation, kick-off meetings, and table top reviews to ensure creative executions and content deliver effectively on consumer needs, brand goals, and business objectives.
* Effectively lead the process for multi-functional input and business leader/Marketing leadership approval of briefs, partnerships and content, as required
* Track social effectiveness and brand impact; continually apply insights to improve social campaign effectiveness
* Oversee Kroger's brand, ensuring it is accurately portrayed and represented in all social touchpoints

Minimum Position Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or an equivalent field of study
* 10+ years brand management experience with a proven track record of developing brand strategies that deliver business results and brand growth
* 5+ years experience leading social program strategy
* Any Experience guiding strategic creative development and partnering well with agency teams
* Any Experience leading integrated marketing campaigns that span channels and consumer targets, including working within personalized channels as part of a holistic plan (e.g. 1:1 offers, addressable tv/radio, etc.)
* A deep understanding of the social ecosystem, including publishers, influencers, and platforms
* A proven track record of successfully identifying marketing capability innovation and driving it into applications that build the business

Desired Previous Experience/Education

* Any CPG brand management or ad/digital agency experience
* 8+ years of recent/ relevant experience leading social program strategy & execution
* Master's Degree in marketing or business
