Citi is looking for an NYC-based Senior Graphic Designer to join our In-House agency Creative team, housed within the Citis Global Marketing Team. The ideal candidate will report to The Head of Creative Services and also the Director, Visual Identity. This position plays a key role in how Citi communicates and expresses its brand visual identity globally and is also responsible for the extension of the brand visual identity system into the total offering to clients and other stakeholders.
Primary responsibilities include:
* Lead the development and implementation of a streamlined, future-facing; Citi Brand Identity through all aspects of design that will scale globally
* Bring a global expertise in brand design and matrixed organizational experience to be applied to Citi
* Support in creation, education and management of global brand guidelines that are modular and allow for global nuances
* Collaborate with internal creative teams across all marketing functions, lines of business, and regions
* Partner with external agency teams to facilitate a consistent Visual Identity (VI)
* Manage external vendors in print, digital, content, event production and fabrication
* Establish/sustain mandate for VI communications (scope, responsibilities, resources etc.)
* Develop, produce, and implement VI frameworks (guidelines, style guides, toolkits etc.) and assets for specific audiences including global regions, sponsorships, environments, cards, presentations, social media, content, etc
* Ensure art direction of photography, video, illustration, animation, and interface design align with VI
* Evaluate VI in creative work streams from concept to production and support at all levels from direction to execution when necessary
* Prioritize work streams of multiple overlapping deadlines for feedback, approval, and delivery
* Manage VI assets and guidelines on Citis Digital Asset Management platform
* Manage junior designer, design requests and VI questions across the organization
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related field required
* 5+ years multidisciplinary experience within the branding, advertising, digital, social, experiential, and communications field required
* A strong design portfolio demonstrating expertise in a variety of creative disciplines and deliverables for a diverse set of brands
* Expert level experience in Adobe Creative applications
* Financial services experience preferred but not required
* Agency experience preferred but not required
* Effective team player with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, on budget and on time
* Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior-level executives and colleagues and navigate across a diverse and complex organization
* Excellent organizational, studio management and project management skills
* Proven track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
* Exceptional PPT design skills with the ability to design, build and own internal presentations.
