Purpose:

Provides the vision, strategy and direction for Strategic vendor management which includes Technology Asset Management and Telecom Expense Management. This role provides senior leadership to create technology vendor strategies that support business goals. This role will have enterprise-wide impact and influence. Builds collaborative partnerships with technology and functional domain vice presidents. Objectives are defined in collaboration with Abbvie leadership and results assess from a 2-5-year perspective.
This position interfaces with leaders of our key suppliers to ensure quality, performance, collaboration, and cost containment through internal/external governance.

Responsibilities:

This position interfaces with Snr. leaders and our key suppliers to ensure quality, performance, collaboration, and cost containment through internal/external governance.
Leads vendor governance, oversight & performance strategy including trending & reporting of KPIs by establishing processes and controls to ensure contract negotiations are properly planned and executed in such a way to maximize value and minimize risk.
Meet budget expectations (~2000 external vendors spend of ~200-$500 million), resource projections and metrics needed to execute the strategic vision and tactical plansFormulate sourcing strategies, collaborate with Purchasing, Architecture and BTS stakeholders on negotiation preparations.
Provide management and oversight for the Technology Asset Management function including HW/SW provisioning, license compliance management and Software audit management.
Provide management and oversight for the Telecom Expense Management function to promote standardization, controls and efficiencies for optimizing our telecom expenses and operations.
Build high performing teams that ensure alignment of individual and corporate goals
Make decisions and provide recommendations that have a significant long-term impact on Abbvie and affect the financial, employee and/or public relations posture of Abbvie.
Develops cross functional relationships with vendor and internal stakeholders, which includes business and procurement teams, and act as an escalation point to promote vendor accountability, remove dependencies, and build standardization.

Qualifications
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as business economics or computer science, Master preferred.
Must have 10+ years of experience, including 3+ years working with global technology vendors, negotiating and managing complex contract lifecycles and vendor relationships
Demonstrate a high level of core, technical and leadership competencies, including experience managing teams of at least 20 people with a resource mix of managers, employees, matrixed teams, virtual teams, contractors, and managed service providers.
Proven ability to drive outstanding employee performance and engagement through developing, coaching, motivating, energizing, and inspiring team members.
Possess good communication and decision-making skills
Demonstrate expertise with analysis of payment conditions, contracts, and documents.
Deep market knowledge of IT products, and services (hardware and software) and current trends
