Prudential is seeking a highly motivated, resourceful, and skilled individual for the role of Manager of Planning and Analysis within the Global Technology Finance Organization. The Manager will report to the Vice President of Planning and Analysis within the Global Technology Finance Organization. This is a leadership position that supports the Global Technology Organization.
This individual will be part of a team of finance professionals that provide meaningful, insightful, and actionable analytics on investments in technology for Global Technology. This role focuses on the development of a multi-year forecast projection of operational, strategic and future of work investments in technology for the businesses, the reporting of technology spending and outcomes against plans and business requirements, and clear and crisp articulation of opportunities, risks and challenges to business plans. This role will be a key partner to supporting the Global Technology business leaders to drive strategic decision making.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
Support the P&A and monthly financial reporting functions for the Global Technology Finance organization.
Assist in the development of the multi-year Global Technology budget/forecast and effectively collaborate with teams within the Businesses and Corporate groups to ensure accurate and timely forecast/budget submissions and supporting schedules
Strategically partner with key Global Technology leaders, which may include the Company Chief Technology Officer, the CIO of ISG and Enabling Solutions, the CIO of WSG and Customer Office through development of insightful business plans and analytics to drive decision-making and facilitate management actions, as appropriate
Support the identification of and drive technology expense efficiencies
Developing and articulating an in-depth understanding of expense drivers, accounting for capitalization of technology assets, key performance indicators, AOI, GAAP and STAT earnings, cash flows, balance sheet and capital
Leadership of a team with a focus on talent development
Developing strong business case cost/benefit analysis for financial evaluation of strategic priorities/initiatives within the Global Technology Organization. In addition, measuring benefits against expectations
Collaboration across multi-functional teams in the organization to support strategic objectives & initiatives
Clear and concise management presentations to ensure key messages are captured and action steps are well defined to enable swift decision-making
Supporting the design and implementation of enhancements to key technology processes, including procurement and expense allocations/chargebacks for the Global Technology Organization
Willingness to roll up sleeves and navigate through areas that may not be in direct line of responsibility to transform strategy into action
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, with 5-7 years of relevant experience
College degree (Accounting or Finance preferred)
Prior experience in Planning and Business Analysis required

Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to translate financial topics into Business English

Excellent analytical skills with strong ability to problem solve

Flexibility and Adaptability This role may evolve over time and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility and ability to pivot to support the success of the Global Technology organization and the Finance team
Sense of urgency Priorities may require quick turn-around for senior preview and presentations. The successful candidate will manage expectations, while being able to deliver quality senior level materials in short windows
Familiar with Oracle General Ledger, Essbase, Obero, OBI
Strong technology skills (Excel and PowerPoint)
Overtime is required during peak periods
