In this role as an Assistant Director, Sales Execution, you will drive pipeline and intermediary development, pipeline advancement and territory management. You will be required to provide direct sales support to Sales Representatives in the assigned territory and work in partnership with Sales Representatives to successfully develop and execute business plans for the territory. This role will act as the primary point of contact with internal partners in order to effectively execute business plan (i.e. Business Review, Request for Proposal, Investments, Finance, Marketing, Compliance).
In addition, in this role you will:
* Collaborate on pricing and investment strategy and positioning of investments and fees
* Identify and qualify new intermediaries
* Drive initial deal underwriting and strategy by thorough due diligence and deal evaluation
* Promote Financial Wellness and customer obsession initiatives throughout assigned territory
* Develop and maintain strong intermediary and plan sponsor relationships to identify pipeline opportunities via concentrated calling and emailing efforts and strategic marketing initiatives
* Participate in strategy and positioning for all request for proposals, pricing requests, presentations, and site visits
* Participate in presentations and site visits
* Create comprehensive deal briefings and participate in finals and post win strategy sessions
* Track activities, calls and meetings through a centralized database
* Support ad hoc projects, as needed
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3-5 years of financial services experience, preferably in the Retirement Industry
* Motivated, self-starter, ability to work independently and creatively, thrives in a Sales Support environment
* Ability to travel 50%+ of time
* Must be highly organized, detail oriented, proactive and resourceful
* Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks and achieve superior results in a Sales support environment
* Excellent partnering, influencing and negotiation skills
* Adept at technology (set up and usage)
* Willingness to take on stretch assignments with an open minded and innovative approach
* Outstanding communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) with the ability to frame a story
* FINRA Series 6, 63 and life licensing required or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire
* Bachelors degree or equivalent required
