Job Description

Introduction

The Coordinator Outreach Education position will oversee case management of the CARES customers and CAP vulnerable customers. Accountable for maintaining community network and updated resource information throughout the service territory.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

* Company representative on community outreach committees
* Coordinate all communications on programs to Customer Satisfaction Center, Universal Service Team and Area office personnel
* Maintain positive rapport with social service agencies and community based organizations to keep informed of company programs
* Create or participate in a variety of outreach activities to promote all programs
* Coordinate team members involvement with community to insure comprehensive resource network within service territory
* Development and coordination of training for Universal service programs for internal and external audiences
* Oversight of CARES caseload throughout community and service territory
* Maintain updated resource directory
* Understanding of the changing needs of the communities we serve recommending company solutions to address the needs
* Excellent working relationship with health, welfare and social services
* Consistent and clear communication with operations and customer service center
* Excellent customer service
* Good organizational and time management skills
* Company ombudsman for low income special needs customers

Required Qualifications for Position

* Bachelors degree in human service area or one which emphasizes interpersonal skill and development
* Minimum of 2 years experience with human/social service work
* Experience with low income community
* Company representative on community outreach committees
* Coordinate all communications on programs to Customer Satisfaction Center, Universal Service Team and Area office personnel
* Maintain positive rapport with social service agencies and community based organizations to keep informed of company programs
* Create or participate in a variety of outreach activities to promote all programs
* Coordinate team members involvement with community to insure comprehensive resource network is established within territory
* Development and coordination of training for Universal service programs for internal and external audiences
* Oversight of CARES caseload
* Maintain updated resource directory
* Understanding of the changing needs of the communities we serve recommending company solutions to address the needs
* Skilled in counseling, crisis intervention and community organization
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position

* Experience with utility regulations
* Community Organization experience
