Maria Parham Health in Henderson, NC has an opening for a PCU Registered Nurse. The Progressive Care Unit provides care for patients who require close observation as they transfer out of the Intensive Care Unit. The PCU has the capability of providing continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring. Our Progressive Care Unit holds 27 cardiac telemetry beds which monitors for heart arrhythmias and oxygenation. Additionally, the Progressive Care team has the capability of monitoring additional telemetry patients on either the Medical or Surgical Units.

The RN provides direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Meets the physical, psychosocial, religious/cultural and needs of the patient and family. Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team as appropriate about changes in the patients condition or response to treatment.

Job Requirements

MinimumEducation
Successful completion of the Nursing Diploma Program or an Associates Degree inNursing from an accredited school is required.

RequiredLicense/Certifications

* Basic Life Support (BLS) is required through American Heart Association (AHA)
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required within 90 days of employment.
* Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license upon hire.

MinimumWork Experience

1year of experience in a health care setting is preferred.
