KPMG is currently seeking a Associate to join our Advisory Services practice.
Responsibilities:
* Independently and collaboratively contribute to assessments of provider organization patient access and revenue cycle capabilities, including clinical departments, contact centers, central billing offices, and all related front-end/back-end functions, by way of site observations, stakeholder interview, document review, data-driven insights, and process mapping
* Leverage key digital capabilities to enable revenue cycle and access functions including: Electronic health record platforms (EHR), Customer relationship management (CRM), payment management, process automation, mobile experience and analytic tools
* Work with clients to design or redesign business processes for optimized efficiency including the incorporation of tools and techniques such as RPA/IA while utilizing and adapting to KPMG methodologies and tools to typical and complex situations, circumstances and new requirements
* Facilitate program and project management office activities, preparation and review of engagement work papers, written briefings and status reports to present to healthcare clients, action items and issue/risk logs
* Conduct research for and perform data collection, analysis, synthesis, and narrative development to support project deliverables and presentation content for clients and KPMG project team both independently and collaboratively
Qualifications:
* Minimum of one year of consulting experience focused on operations performance improvement, systems integration, or equivalent industry experience (front, middle and back office experience preferred)
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university (preferred concentrations include Health Care Administration, Business, Management Information Systems, Economics, Industrial Engineering, and Accounting)
* Progressive experience implementing operational improvement plan across all phases of healthcare revenue cycle management and patient access including financial clearance, scheduling, referral management, billing, follow-up/collections, and vendor management
* Experience with handling, analyzing, and evaluating large data sets with advanced analytics and visualization tools and working with project management teams, drafting status reports, tracing issues, monitoring resources, and workflow analysis/design
* Solid understanding of scheduling/registration functions, financial clearance, clinical documentation, care delivery and care coordination, patient flow/throughput, referral management, clinical/operational/financial analytics, reporting and key initiatives such as patient experience transformations
* Proficiency with foundational consulting skills such as analytical, written, and verbal communication; possess appropriate client presence, facilitation and presentation abilities
* Ability to travel 80%
