Job Description

Facebook is seeking an experienced Program Manager with web and enterprise infrastructure environment experience. The Infrastructure Services and Operational Support team designs, implements and continuously evolves systems and processes to support all aspects of network deployment and operations. In this role, you will support programs related to network deployment and operations in partnership with the Edge and Network Services. You will work closely with cross-functional program managers, network and software engineers, product managers, and other partners to devise technical solutions for business problems and own delivery from concept to creation. This is a full-time position.

Program Manager, Edge and Network Responsibilities

* Enable daily operations via tooling, documentation, and ongoing support of production network technologies in complex and diverse environments.

* Interface with engineering and business owners for project requirements and scope. Take initiative in unclear and dynamic situations to help stakeholders and partners define and subsequently realize goals.

* Manage highly cross-functional projects in a matrix organization covering a range of areas (data center, network, logistics, supply chain, software engineering).

* Identify operational pain points and opportunities to improve business practices and drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions.

* Review operational issues and determine if a technology solution is required or a process correction needs to be made.

* Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases. Ensure quality control and quality assurance are appropriately incorporated into programs/project plans.

* Lead business readiness activities including training, testing and rollout of solutions via vendors.

* Ensure that lessons learned are captured comprehensively, acted on and communicated out for each project.

* Identify areas of risk and drive mitigation with subject matter experts within the organization.

* Foster a culture of data driven decision making.

* Work independently with minimal supervision.

* Be independent, thorough, and results-oriented in examination and analysis.

* Domestic and international travel required up to 10%.

Minimum Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience in technical project/program management, infrastructure services, operations, or supply chain with a demonstrated track record of improving processes, programs, and using technology solutions to deliver business value.

* Experience delivering flawless project execution within a globally scaled engineering environment. Resourceful, action-orientated with experience getting things done, overcoming obstacles, and developing creative solutions to problems.

* Demonstrated interpersonal skills and experience leading discussions and negotiations at all levels.

* Experience building business cases and successfully driving project execution in collaboration with cross-functional and external partners.

* Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with clear focus under pressure experience. Demonstrated experience adapting and learning new skill sets.

* Proven communication skills and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.

* Experience establishing working relationships and driving successful collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones. Willingness to roll-up the sleeves in order to accomplish all necessary tasks.

* Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and thought leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.

* 2+ years of infrastructure deployment and/or operations experience.

* Experience with software automation, circuit provisioning and/or hardware life cycle management.

* Experience with complex multi-vendor environments from sourcing through delivery.

* PMP, Scrum Master, CCNA/JNCIA certifications, or equivalents.
