Education
* A four-year, Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university/college in Packaging, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or other related field.
* Prior experience with Commercial serialization equipment and processes is a plus
Responsibilities
* Serve as site representative / liaison on all Global Serialization matters. Ensure harmonization with Global standards/approaches.
* Provide expert subject matter support on Serialization Equipment related issues
* Serve as Site Administrator on all Serialization Software
* Perform job evaluations and assist in the selection, specification building, and onboarding of new equipment and clients.
* Build processes with embedded error proofing and Quality by Design methodologies
* Draft/drive closure of Standard Operating Procedures as required.
* Assist in the identification of critical to quality attributes, development of material specifications, and creation of robust statistical inspection plans for incoming raw materials.
* Draft Master Batch Records (MBRs) for the packaging of commercial product.
* Use Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Principles such as Just Do It (JDI), Single Minute Exchange of die (SMED) initiatives to streamline processes
* Incorporate six sigma techniques to enhance quality and reduce rejects
* Drive engineering project initiatives to increase machine speeds, reduce labor hours, and reduce reject rates
* Draft and perform technical document review as required
* Provide technical specifications for Engineering project designs, and machine upgrades.
* Lead and manage multiple project engineering driven assignments from start to finish with sound project management methodologies.
* Other Duties to meet the business needs.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Three (3) years of food or pharmaceutical packaging experience OR Five (5) years of industrial engineering or related experience
* A proven track record of successful management of multiple Engineering/Capital projects.
* A proven track record of problem solving through cross functional teamwork and PPI methodologies
* The ability to independently envision, simplify, and drive closure on complex issues
* The experience, presence, and poise to successfully interact with internal and external customers at various levels of management.
* Advanced IT literacy and ability to work in a variety of applications (MS Project, MiniTab, AutoCad, etc)
* Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Must be able to multitask and respond to shifting priorities.
* Must have strong analytical skills. Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and PPI. Well versed in process improvement and industrial design applications.
* Must have prior mechanical and process equipment experience

* Vision requirements for this position: close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision, peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three dimensional vision) and the ability to adjust focus.
* Personal Protective Equipment Certification (PPE) including but not limited to filtering face masks, PAPR, N- 95 masks, half face masks and safety glasses is required to perform this position
* Must be able to work in both heat/cold environments (up to 79%)
