This Senior Manager will be responsible to build and manage a technology infrastructure team (approximately 15 - 20 FTEs) with a broad scope of accountabilities specific to the enablement of infrastructure engineering and automation Services for Wells Fargo. This position will manage a combined operating and project budget of $15mm-$30mm. This role will also be indirectly responsible for driving all the priorities and governance of delivery for the broader Engineering and Automation team and documenting and reporting progress to the broader Engineering Compute Services organization. This role will require a senior leader with strong leadership and engineering skill sets specific to new Agile based development for an SRE support model. The leader of this role must have experience in building complex engineering and support teams and managing a team of highly technical engineers and negotiating with and influencing other senior technical leaders to be successful.

Additionally, this leader will also need to have the expertise to help guide engineering and support initiatives of other direct and indirect reporting managers to ensure a program discipline is leverage for the design, engineering and timely build out and deployment of infrastructure and automated operations services in accordance with an automated governance control model. This position will manage a high-profile group responsible for the development of a new automated governance model including the creation of an automated CI/CD pipeline and automated self-service lab environment to support broader innovation and transformation across ECS. This manager and his/her team will work closely with Information Services, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Service Delivery and Engineering Leaders to deliver on this new cross discipline capability for transformation from manual to automated governance and control processes. Additionally, this position will have accountability to ensure the engineering SDLC is enabled and measurable to ensure all build, control and governance steps are met on all levels through the use of a fully automated build services.

A major aspect of this leaders responsibility will be to negotiate and prioritize the delivery of engineering and automation services within ECS and the broader enterprise to create a delivery model that produces the most impactful engineering as expediently as possible. This responsibility will necessitate the need to influence peer and senior management levels to accept and utilize a fully automated service for requesting and tracking engineering services. As a result, of these functions this team will also develop new consumption models for the determining the use of automated services and the adherence to automated governance standards. This position will be responsible for influencing key organizations such as CIO, EA and TIS partners on how to leverage the new Infrastructure fully automated engineering request services and reporting. In general, this senior leader will manage the end-to-end prioritization and governance of all delivery for the Engineering and Automation group.

Responsibilities include:

* Transformation of manual control processes to an automated governance of infrastructure configuration, build and delivery including the automated CI/CD pipeline for engineering builds
* Transformation from manual requests for Lab capacity to the acceptance of a self-service process for engineering lab services including promotion of LabaaS delivery to broader technology groups within Wells Fargo
* Transformation from manual requests to a fully automated process for input and tracking of engineering requests for basic services and project support into the Engineering and Automation group, tracking and reporting on all requests and coordination with the ECS Process Engineering group on reporting and control of these items.
* Main liaison to all other ECS groups and enterprise in negotiating and setting priorities for competing requests.
* Owner and lead author of summary road map for all planned Engineering and Automation strategies. Main interface with Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure Architecture to align the Engineering road map with the broader transformation and innovation strategy for Wells Fargo.

Required Qualifications
* 4 + years of technology management experience supporting integration activities
* 4+ years of experience leading enterprise wide projects
* 5+ years of experience with strategic planning in technology
* 7+ years of technology engineering experience
* 6+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment

* Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

* Excellent communication (oral and written) with ability to communicate at multiple levels ranging from technologists to senior managers and executive leadership.
