Job Description

This position requires maintaining the restroom and locker rooms as well as break rooms and hallways which include but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, wiping off tables, and trash removal. Responsible for following a detailed cleaning schedule to support the complete plant cleaning process, working with a small team to complete daily. Must be able to empty / remove trash, clean, wax, mop and buff floors, clean windows, vacuum, run a floor scrubber and operate an all surface cleaner. Paper towel and toilet paper dispensers need to be filled daily. Stripping of tile floors done on weekends. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong team and organization skills. Strong oral and written communication along with excellent follow-up and time management capabilities. Must be willing to work in an environment with the sight and smell of meat products or any other product present when processing meat such as blood, fat, bone, spices. Must be willing to withstand wet, humid, cold, and hot environment, and must be willing to work in a refrigerated area with ambient temperature of 40 degrees. Must be willing to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Participate in safety training, reviews, investigations, as communicated. Report safety issues after mitigation, where possible. Complete all required daily and weekly paperwork per SQF requirements. Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF System. Report any issues to appropriate facility management.

Document effort using company systems (current system Megamation). Adheres to Tyson Quality Policies and complies with the work rules and standards set forth. Must be willing to repeatedly push, pull, lift and carry up to 40 lbs and be willing to walk or stand for 8-12 hours per day on hard floors. This position requires the ability to work overtime and weekends and be willing to accommodate shift start time changes. All other duties as assigned by management.
