Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, MA): execute quality assurance (QA) testing of the Companys web-based marketing, product master/product information and client reporting systems. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer utilizes knowledge of QA practices, concepts, and testing techniques to develop and document comprehensive test plans for large, strategic, and complex new development projects. Specific duties of the position include: Providing senior SQA professional service, typically on a project or program basis; leading project QA/testing effort and project QA resources; understanding and converting complex business requirements and functional specifications to test cases, including creation of applicable test data; evaluating and contributing to testable business requirements and functional specifications, including performance and information security; developing and documenting comprehensive test plans for large, strategic andor complex new development projects, enhancements to existing applications, and high-risk infrastructure upgrades; coordinating and collaborating with business analyst and business/systems analyst on full scope of testing coverage for new business requirements and infrastructure upgrades; collaborating with technical and project management staff on testing approach, project planning and technology reviews; executing manual and automated test cases, including creation of high quality defects, automated test scripts and test status reports; conducting project post-implementation reviews for large projects to identify lessons learned and actions for continuous improvement; participate in the daily sprint team standup meetings and track the sprint progress on IBM Jazz tool; run the defect triage meetings with the business and other stakeholders and facilitate defect prioritization; collaborating with onshore/offshore QA project teams in test estimation, planning, and test execution and provide training to staff; and supporting the Head of Quality Assurance on the assigned departmental Quality and Process Improvement initiatives.
Minimum requirements are: Bachelors degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field; and 6 years of experience in QA best practices, concepts, and testing techniques.
Must have: demonstrated experience using SQL, Java; demonstrated knowledge of change management, problem management, and incident management; demonstrated experience with HTTPS and SFTPS protocols; proven experience with CMS technologies including AEM; demonstrated experience with Application Servers, WebLogic, and Apache; demonstrated experience with automated test scripting; proven experience understanding and converting requirements and specifications to test cases and test data; demonstrated experience to work both in Agile and waterfall SDLC methodologies; and demonstrated experience using tools such as PL/SQL Developer, IBM Rational Clearquest, IBM Jazz (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the ability in the skills listed above with no specific amount of years of experience required.
