Responsibilities

State Farm is seeking an Infrastructure Analyst to join our Enterprise Technology Department!

We are looking for a highly skilled technical resource with a developer background. As an Infrastructure Analyst, you will be tasked with identifying and resolving technical performance issues that arise from changes in our Billing and Payment components. You are vital component in ensuring a positive customer experience!

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

* Applies software development skills, tools, and processes to implement automation solutions where appropriate
* Assists other infrastructure engineers on completing their assignments
* Diagnoses and resolves complex problems/issues and completes complex assignments
* Leverages a thorough understanding of the State Farm organizational structure to navigate the organization
* Applies broad-based knowledge of database concepts with in-depth/specialized knowledge of at least one database management system to perform daily tasks
* Applies performance tuning techniques, to set up Big Data clusters in production to ensure maximum performance
* Develops detailed specifications for complex assignments
* Provides technical guidance and mentors other infrastructure engineers
* May take on several simultaneous work stories or focus on a single complex story
* Understands, supports, and helps define the vision and direction for the product development
* Applies understanding of product design, data and test solutions to ensure quality outcomes
* Champions and leads others to design and develop for exceptional user experience

Qualifications

We Are Looking For Candidates With The Following Skills/Experience

* JVM (Java Virtual Machine) Knowledge
* OS (Operating System) Knowledge - Linux and Windows
* Possesses intermediate server knowledge and familiarity of commonly known performance application issues
* Possesses basic knowledge of HTTP error codes
* Basic JAVA programming/developer skills
* SPLUNK diagnostics tool
* Dynatrace diagnostics tool
* HTTP Watch (IE) or Debbugger Tool
* HP Diagnostics Tool
* Grafana Diagnostics Tool
