Job Description

As a Director, Digital User Exprience, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of the user experience and site architecture for all digital experiences as PPG continues to accelerate its digital transformation. The role would be accountable to drive improvements in PPGs digital experiences that are modern and loved by our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leading the vision, strategy, and execution of the user experience and site architecture for all digital experiences working in an agile/lean product based operating model.
* Collaborating with cross-functional leadership to determine and support the most effective strategies, including identifying brand appropriate, customer centric user experience and design solutions that deliver on our business goals, ensure channel-wide consistency, provide a foundation for future enhancements, and ensure our continued success.
* Providing UX leadership and direction, managing a team of User Experience Architects, User Experience Designers and others - overseeing the interface development of all UX aspects of web, mobile, and omnichannel experience design.
* Work closely with PPG businesses to help define customer needs and motivational factors and translate them into concepts for compelling interactions and experiences and utilize them to drive profitable sales growth.
* Provide innovative, customer centric, information and visual design recommendations that contribute to an enhanced user experience
* Full accountability globally for the best in class site Search Experience for our global sites.
* Ensuring that UX design is well integrated into PPGs digital product development processes working with product and technology teams.
* Driving best practice within PPG in the end to end online Customer Experience
* Building a center of excellence that supports PPG businesses around the globe, placing and managing internal/partner resources as appropriate in various markets.
* Be an evangelist for Digital introduce new innovative ideas, tools and processes to really drive Digital to the forefront of our go-to market channels.
* This is a global role requiring 20-30% travel. It is based in Pittsburgh, PA (USA).

Qualifications:

* A minimum of 10 years of UX experience working on established, heavily trafficked, B2B/B2C digital web/mobile experiences.
* Experienced practitioner of lean UX.
* Proven track record demonstrating the ability to quantify customer behavior, design relevant and effective experiences that deliver business results.
* Strong knowledge of task and use-case analysis, heuristic analysis, and user personas.
* Experience participating and conducting usability testing as well as documentation and presentation of testing results including gathering and documenting business, interaction and functional requirements.
* Experience with techniques in formal and informal usability testing.
* Proven experience in A/B and multivariate testing.
* Experience in using tools for: creative, accessibility evaluation, rapid prototyping, project management, web architecture, presentation, web analytics among others.
* An experienced UX leader with a proven track record in change management and in delivering results amongst respected digital companies.
* Experience with further building a omnichannel business of services on a global basis, developing an established brand and nurturing new growth opportunities.
