Northwestern Mutual is looking for a multifaceted Technical Sourcer to join our TA team. This is not a standard Sourcing job - this is a change agent role to support our growing Engineering & Client Experience organizations. Reporting to the Senior Director of Recruiting, you will work alongside our Technical Recruiting team, sourcing through traditional and community-based channels for roles in Milwaukee, New York remote across the US to build highly diverse talent pipelines. This role is based in Milwaukee Wisconsin or US-Remote.

What you will do:

* Work closely with Technical Recruiters and Hiring Managers to fully understand candidate personas for various roles across the enterprise
* Demonstrate your deep and rich knowledge of the Milwaukee and New York markets to optimally identify, target, engage, and persuade top talent to join Northwestern Mutual
* Increase the representation of candidates from emerging majorities in our pipelines using Boolean, LinkedIn and alternative search techniques
* Partner with our D&I team using their local relationships to build community-based talent pipelines
* Regularly assess pipeline activity to share insights with internal partners and drive improvements

What you bring to the table:

* 5+ years technical sourcing experience with a search firm and/or in-house recruiting team
* Proven track record of engaging and converting passive candidates
* Experience screening resumes to identify fit, and presenting client experience & technology opportunities to a wide range of people
* Experience interviewing for technical fit, behavioral competencies, and cultural adds
* Fintech/Insurance industry knowledge with an understanding of technical skill sets, target companies, conferences, and open source communities
* Phenomenal team orientation, willing to pitch in and help the team succeed
