Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

With this position, you will join a team that develops and maintain an EDM system that supports the Managed Investments department. The EDM system is IHS Markit EDM and team members are expected to have the following skills;

* Strong understanding of data mastering, knowledge of ETL development and ability to prepare technical specifications
* Proficiency in SQL and the use of SQL Server, including SQL performance optimization techniques.
* Ability to communicate issues, status, and progress on work you're leading to direct management, stakeholders, other engineering and product team members
* Ability to quickly understand system architecture and become involved in design and development, taking ownership of assigned projects and drive to completion.
* Ability to critically review, debug and diagnose existing application codebase across all application tiers.
* Apply engineering standard methodologies in order to analyze, design and develop, deploy and support software solutions, and/or infrastructure implementations/upgrades.
* Develop software and systems on test driven development and continuous integration practices; establish monitoring and automation processes.
* A solid understanding of batch scheduling system usage and implementation concepts
* Exhibits appetite for continuous learning improvement.
* Exhibit strong problem-solving skills
* Experience with Agile methodologies/DevOps environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

* Two or more years of experience developing within Markit EDM or Markit EDM certification
* Understanding of Markit EDM application to ETL development concepts
* Experience creating user interfaces and error validation routines in Markit EDM
* Familiarity with Institutional Investment & Financial domain

This job is not covered by the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.
