Position Specific Description
Seeking an experienced commercial transactions attorney to support complex commercial transactions for NextEras distributed generation development and business management teams. The attorney would be responsible for drafting and negotiating renewable energy power purchase agreements, energy storage agreements, build-transfer agreements, joint development agreements, purchase and sale agreements and other commercial agreements related to distributed generation solar and energy storage projects, as well as other related technologies. Applicant must be a team player with a demonstrated commercial acumen who relates well with clients, management and counterparties and who can thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Provides written and oral legal advice to clients
Anticipates and guards against legal risks involving the organization
Works to ensure budget compliance and avoids the need for outside counsel
Ensures disclosure of potentially material legal issues to senior leadership
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
