UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Sourcing and Procurement leader to provide effective, organization-wide strategic planning, sourcing and purchasing of Information Technology services and products in order to align with the diverse goals of a broad base of IT and Business stake holders. This work most often impacts a large business unit, or multiple markets / sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Responsible for effective, organization-wide strategic planning, sourcing and purchasing of Information Technology services, materials and supplies in order to align to the diverse goals of a broad base of stake holders
* Develop and execute technology category strategies for a function or discipline that spans a large business unit or multiple markets / sites and maximizes operational efficiencies and cost effectiveness of the entire supply chain
* Establish strategy and manage the competitive bidding / vendor selection process
* Negotiate and drive negotiations for legal and business terms and conditions for IT products / services and pricing
* Understand and align with the evolving technology market conditions and capabilities to meet business requirements while still maximizing cost efficiencies, price leverage and quality while identifying and adhering to vendor contract and enterprise risk policies to mitigate risk to the organization
* Support / manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and multiple levels of management
* Evaluate demand forecasts and budgets
* Understand how new customer requirements align with current portfolio strategies to drive consistency and efficiently meet requirements
* Drive supplier consolidation and leverage spend across the enterprise
* Oversee development and execution of broad internal policies and strategies, specific parameters for procurement, vendor selection and negotiation
* Provide leadership to and is accountable for specific, measurable goals and the performance and direction of employees through multiple layers of management and senior level professional staff
* Direct others to resolve business problems that affect multiple functions or disciplines and has experience working with senior level leaders

Required Qualifications:

* Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
* 10+ years of relevant sourcing and procurement experience including a supervisory role leading direct reports
* Experience working with senior level executives
* You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting, however, may be required to work from home temporarily due to space limitations
* Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained

Preferred Qualifications:

* JD or MBA
* Technology sourcing and procurement experience
