What this job involves:

We are seeking an expert data architect for JLLTs Americas Market business and Global corporate functions (including HR, Finance, Legal, etc). Specifically, she or he will be a significant resource to assist JLLTs corporate data management function in designing, developing, optimizing and overseeing our data systems and strategies in support of the JLL global businesses. You role may include assessing architect models and supervising data migrations. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in architecture analysis and management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Qualified candidates must be customer-oriented, business-focused, and analytically driven with required technical expertise and consulting skills. This role is based in the US with the flexibility to travel up to 25%, and may including minimal international travel. This position will report to the Executive Director, Lead Enterprise Data Architect of JLLT. It is an individual contributor role that interfaces with stakeholders in technology groups, the business, vendors, and clients.

This role will be responsible for designing, implementing and optimizing JLLT's data management platforms and environments:

* Design and implement effective data solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.
* Examine and identify data management necessities by evaluating operations, applications, and programming.
* Assess data management procedures and systems to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations and strategic principles.
* Prepare and maintain accurate database design and architectural documents for management and development teams.
* Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
* Recommend solutions to improve new and existing data systems.
* Documenting interfaces and data movement by recording how mapped data is moved and managed around the enterprise.
* Designing the movement of data through the enterprise, including sources of data and how the data is managed in order to be improved.
* Defining integrative views of data to draw together data from across the enterprise, both in real-time and as extracts.
* Designing canonical data views to limit technical debt as data flows from point-to-point transformation.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

* 7 or more years of data management related experience such as data analysis, data governance, enterprise information management, data architecture, and data quality management
* Bachelors degree with IT, business, computer science or technical focus preferred
* Expert knowledge of SQL Server and Azure SQL Database
* Deep understanding of data transfer formats such as XML, JSON, Avro, and Parquet, their differences and when they should be applied
* Ability to assess performance impacts of various data management and storage techniques
* Ability to understand the differences between Analytic, Operational, Reference, and Master Data and design models which fit the storage and publication of these types
* Experience with real time (event based) architectures and the message models appropriate for those implementations
* Analytics experience desired, i.e. data visualization, data analytics, data mining, business intelligence, etc
* Advanced analytical, problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and meet deadlines. High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Knowledge of and experience with enterprise source systems and strong understanding of enterprise integration.
* Commercial real estate industry experience is highly preferred
* Experience in agile methodologies, tools, standards and procedures
