Job Description

The Cloud Platform Business Unit (CPBU) is one of the fastest growing business units within VMware. We focus on bringing solutions to market in areas Hybrid Cloud, Hyperconverged Infrastructure and App Modernization. As a Product Marketing Manager focused on the Channel, you will be responsible for CPBU outbound marketing strategy and enablement for VMware channel partners. We are looking for applicants who understand Hybrid Cloud, Hyperconverged storage and App Modernization. Applicants should have the ability to position VMware against other offerings. We also look for a self-starter, able to deliver on projects after being given high-level objectives and an appropriate amount of direction. Strong
analytical and cross-functional leadership skills are a requirement.

Responsibilities:

* Develop launch materials for the channel
* Collaborate with corporate channel marketing and sales to execute successful partner events, demand generation campaigns, and field marketing programs
* Collaborate with enablement teams to develop compelling and engaging training for partners
* Maintain close relationships with enterprise field and partner sales organizations
* Craft sales tools and collateral (PowerPoint presentations, datasheets, white papers, customer case studies, demos, and training materials) as required by the channel teams.
* Build initiatives to drive the fast proliferation of VMware products and solutions with the channel
* Advocate and evangelize CPBU solutions with customers, executives and analysts at various channel events and briefings



General Requirements:

* Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 6 years and a Masters degree.
* Experience working with Channels, in product marketing and or in Product Management roles.
* Experience leading cross-functional channel teams and influencing colleagues.
* Experience with storage and server environments, including knowledge of key vendors in the marketplace
* Strong analytical skills and critical thinking. Ability to develop creative / non-traditional solutions
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to translate technology features into business benefits. Engaging storyteller.
* Strong leader, self-starter, and collaborative teammate in a dynamic environment.
