Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Regional Occupational Program Instructor located in Richmond, CA.
The Regional Occupational Program Instructor (ROP) role resides in the Chevron Richmond Refinery Learning and Development Department and reports to the Learning and Development Manager. Program is intended to be a community outreach program and may supply Refinery with Operations and Maintenance employee candidates.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
* Provide overview of refinery operations and maintenance.
* Instruct Regional Occupational Program using 3rd Party Vendor Information designed for basic fundamentals of process operations and maintenance activities.
* Develop evaluations for each student
* Assist with posting ROP program, identifying applicants, execute assessment, select successful applicants
Required Qualifications:
* Certification from California State Board of Education is required but can be completed after hiring. Once obtaining the certification, Continuing Education is required on an annual basis
* High School diploma or equivalent
* 5 years of experience in similar roles
* Use of Microsoft Suite Tools such as PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, and Word.
* Communication-Facilitation Skills to lead ROP students through selected curriculum with a focus on process operations, basic employment skills such as interviewing, resume writing, etc. Supply evaluation and feedback to students and set clear expectations for program success for the student.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Job Knowledge-Background in Process Operations & Maintenance activities to supply basic fundamentals of refinery operations to Regional Occupational Students.
