Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. has an opening for a Managing Editor to supervise editorial development and production for a new digital client newsletter. The position is in the Brand Journalism department of the Retail, Owned Channel and Client Marketing Team.

The Managing Editor will be responsible for:

* Creating and managing the editorial schedule for a widely distributed, segmented client newsletter
* Managing workflow for two writer/editors
* Ensuring each edition meets high editorial and design standards
* Optimizing the newsletter for engagement and retention

What you are good at

The ideal candidate will have excellent editorial judgment and organizational skills; a thorough understanding of the modern Web, investing, and financial markets; a personal interest in email newsletters; a strong sense of initiative; and the ability to balance competing priorities for a diverse set of stakeholders.

What you have

* Experience writing or editing for online publications with a broad retail consumer audience
* Understanding of Web and email publishing platforms and technology
* Excellent project-management skills
* Writing/editing test
* Ability to work both independently and as a strong contributor to a team
* B.A./B.S. in English, journalism, economics, finance, or a related subject

Preferred qualifications:

* Previous experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
* Experience in email campaign creation, management and measurement
