Weyerhaeuser's Montana Wood Products is currently looking for an Electrical Lead to join our Kalispell Plywood facility. A qualified candidate would have a thorough comprehensive knowledge of electrical equipment, processes and techniques to safely repair, modify, install and maintain the facility and high-tech manufacturing equipment.

Key Functions

* Support Kalispell Plywood and Lumber , as necessary, by maximizing equipment reliability and providing support for facility equipment in a safe manner, by effectively managing/motivating a team of electricians to meet operational excellence and reliability goals
* Provide coverage for Electrical/Maintenance Supervisor as necessary for vacation, leave, etc
* Manage and be a part of a team of electricians to maximize operation of the electrical shop and be responsible for safety, quality, production, and scheduling of electricians.
* Manage various projects focusing on construction projects/aspects, including coordinating work with various departments, supervisors and other parties as necessary
* Work with a team of electricians, as well as work with millwright, planners, other maintenance personnel and production to deliver preventative and routine maintenance on plant equipment, troubleshoot and repair complex electrical problems, create innovative solutions to complex issues, and work on capital projects
* Complete required paperwork utilizing preventative maintenance software program associated with repairing equipment, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
* Conduct team meetings and create individual development plans to train and coach millwrights.
* Communicate back to leadership so there are open lines of communication between shifts.
* Organize meetings, ordering and following up on purchases
* Supervise and manage tools; electrical programs; part/tool inventory; and critical spare parts
* Exemplify and promote exceptional safety standards; including but not limited to performing independent safety audits, permitting and attending monthly safety meetings
* Manage work orders; modify equipment specifications; track, print/issue and update PM's (preventative maintenance) through SAP
* Manage employees' performance and provide discipline recommendations, as necessary.



Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED required
* A minimum of three (3) years of experience in leading projects, compiling bill of materials and defining project budgets required
* A qualified candidate will also have at least one of the following:
* Associate's Degree in E.E.T. or equivalent education (preferred)
* Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Industrial Electrical Maintenance

Additional Skills

* Knowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA70E and NFPA70B and ability to apply their requirements daily.
* Possess solid understanding of electrical safety (some NFPA70E and NEC experience preferred).
* Understanding of PLC control (preferably AB PLC5 and ControlLogix system), conduit and wiring skills including termination, and experience with MCC's.
* Ability to troubleshoot control systems containing photo eyes, proximity switches, and limit switches.
* Experience working with equipment such as: hand tools, drills, saws, conduit equipment, amp probe, megohmmeter, and other electrical test equipment for control in manufacturing plant and mill.
* Good understanding of a continuous production process
* Commitment to actively promoting and exhibiting a caring safety culture
* Demonstrated ability to raise performance by building and maintaining positive relationships with all associates through coaching, development and instilling a continuous improvement mind-set
* Demonstrated results in achieving and sustaining business goals in a complex and fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written
