Position Description
The Senior Inventory Systems Planning Analyst will be responsible for providing functional expertise and guidance for daily execution of select system functionality, as well as partner with Enterprise Systems and SAP to communicate business requirements and aid in determining systems options and continuous process improvement. The specific focus will be Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP) and Deployment.
The Inventory Systems team also administers the current stocking policies and ensures the timely and accurate delivery of inventory plan updates, manages all systems updates and access permissions, administers the simulation system, and supports continuous improvement goals to pursue process improvements and ensures proper documentation of systems procedures. The Senior Inventory Systems Planning Analyst will be tasked with providing functional expertise of the inventory planning system, ensuring that the system applies our inventory strategies, in accordance to our business policies.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
A Senior Inventory Systems Planning Analyst will be accountable for functional expertise over select planning areas within the system for specific business policies and procedures, as assigned, within the following areas:
* Demand Capture
* Manage Demand
* Forecast
* EOQ/Safety Stock
* DRP/Deployment
Based on the specific assigned area of ownership, the analyst will:
* Aide in developing supply chain strategies to meet customer service initiatives and meet inventory performance targets.
* Participate in discussions with assigned regional or countries business representatives to adapt the planning system in order to effectively accommodate business unit needs.
* Identify and recommend enhancements to supply chain systems.
* Work with cross functional Supply Chain partners to gain alignment on business policies and system functionality to execute those policies.
In addition, the Senior Inventory Systems Planning Analyst will:
* Perform system maintenance and maintain master data within planning areas and processes, as needed.
* Review and analyzes planning data to prepare reports for management review.
* Perform ad-hoc analyses as needed.
* Meet regularly with ES partners to discuss business requirements, system needs, and system health.
Preferred Education & Experience
* Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Mgmt., Business, Economics, or Statistics or related field ~~.~~
* 3+ years experience
* Strong analytic fundamentals, proficiency in analyzing large data sets to solve problems and experience working with cross-functional partners
* Understanding of key financial, customer service and supply chain metrics
* Project Management and continuous improvement experience a plus
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; requires knowledge of downloading and uploading information via mainframe and PC systems
* Proficiency in SQL/Teradata, a plus
* Working knowledge of SAP Supply Chain Suite, particularly Advance Planning & Optimization or Service Parts Planning, a plus
