Perform Imaging Equipment Repairs and imaging corrections, board and device component repair, troubleshoot computer networking systems, preventative maintenance, system modifications and/or electronic upgrades, support of production team member imaging level on all imaging systems, and related hardware and software. Support Electrical, Mechanical Maintenance and production departments on all press electronic controls and ancillary equipment.
* Willing to train individuals with prior experience in the maintenance and repair of printers manufactured by Eastman Kodak, HP, Brother, Lexmark, Okidata, Xerox.
* Willing to train individuals with trade school experience.
* Strong mechanical ability
* Gather and analyze data to help identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
* Operate RRD Proteus Jet and /or Kodak Scitex inkjet systems, in a web environment.
* Review job instructions to prepare jobs for printing, RIP files.
* Maintain daily print job production logs and daily delivery manifests.
* Set up jobs, programs, and release jobs from the print queue.
* Also may need to adjust image position, perform ink changes, and problem corrective actions.
* Monitor the quality of job output for correctness and image quality.
* Monitor supplies such as ink, consumable parts, and other items as needed.
* Maintain inventory logs and levels as required.
* Collect and accurately record operator production metrics in shop floor data collection system.
Required Skills
* Prior experience in a digital print environment with Color theory is preferred but not required.
* Ability to troubleshoot/diagnose, solve, and correct operating problems affecting the safety, quality, and timeliness of process, product, or function.
* Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude.
* Basic PC computer skills.
* Must be able to work 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shift; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, Friday, Saturday; alternating on an eight-week schedule.
