Cypress Creek Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Intake (Admissions) Director.

Cypress Creek Hospital, a freestanding 128-bed facility, located in north Houston, has been faithfully serving Houston and surrounding communities for over 20 years. We are dedicated to the provision of quality care and assistance for individuals and families in need of psychiatric care and treatment for substance abuse and offer a broad range of inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adolescents and adults. www.cypresscreekhospital.com

Intake Director Position Summary:

The Intake Director provides leadership to ensure a safe and high quality level of care for psychiatric/chemical dependency patients. Responsible for nursing care, medical screening, and triage for all psychiatric/chemical dependency patients presenting for assessment and evaluation. Coordinating the admission process for inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient programs and to facilitate referrals for outpatient treatment services and other community resources.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Provide leadership and direction to hospital intake department.
* Make recommendations for improvement of department processes.
* Supervise staff, staff allocation and department processes.
* Serve as a role model in the delivery of patient care.
* Admit/discharge patients in accordance with hospital policies/procedures.
* Ensure proper handling and documentation of all emergencies, incidents, special procedures and patient complaints.
* Provide assistance with appropriate nursing intervention/documentation in crisis situations.
* Interact with patients and staff in professional manner, promotes teamwork and demonstrates Service Excellence
* Attend mandatory staff meetings.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Three (3) years' experience in behavioral healthcare with leadership experience.

Licensure: Current license as a Registered Nurse in Texas.

Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certification may be obtained during orientation.

Additional Requirements: Ability to work in a customer centric fast-paced environment. Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, intervention and evaluation of psychiatric patients. Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS and State standards.
