Overview

Duration and Work Schedule

This internship is in our Middleton, WI office and will be full-time (40 hrs/week) from May through August 2021. There may be an opportunity to stay on part-time during the academic school year of 2021-2022 depending on academic schedule and business needs. Core business hours are 7:45am 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Start and end dates are flexible.

Due to current conditions we support virtual work until it is safe to return to the office.

Responsibilities

What opportunities do these internships offer?

As an IT BSA Intern you will be provided challenging work, mentorship by subject matter experts in a variety of technical areas, and the opportunity to partner with a great team.

The BSA Intern on our Content & Collaboration team will assist in developing and supporting business processes and applications that meet or exceed the needs of our business units. The intern partners with customers to understand their needs and is responsible for developing, supporting, and configuring applications. The BSA Intern also assists with functional oversight for custom software development and documents system requirements.

The BSA Intern will provide support for SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2013 site owners and end users across the TDS Enterprise. This position will help gather design requirements, build, test, and implement efforts on SharePoint sites. The BSA Intern will also provide support for Office 365 content and collaboration tools (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Yammer, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Power Automate, and Stream).

The IT BSA Intern on our IT Strategy and Deliver team will be working side by side with our internal Resource Analyst to help our IT organization in prioritizing and assuring our IT efforts have the appropriate resources in line to complete work. The IT BSA Intern assists with documenting requirements and data associated with work efforts, analyzes and complies resource data using various tools, coordinates solutioning efforts and resources, and compiles and processes metrics.

This unique internship will provide exposure to some of the most important topics of todays IT shops, ensuring we are working on the right things - what are those things, and do we have the right people lined up to work on them. You will also gain insight and exposure into project management processes and our Architecture and Solutions Analyst teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* Currently pursuing an Associates or Bachelors Degree in information systems, computer science, programming, business or related field
* Two or more semesters of related technology coursework

Preferred Qualifications:

* Exposure to or knowledge of ERP Systems, SAP preferred
* Ability to research current and emerging information technologies
* Some knowledge of software development life cycle
* Knowledge of Relational Database Management System concepts and SQL
* Proficiency with MS Office, specifically SharePoint, Excel and Access
* Strong technical aptitude, initiative, creativity, and excellent customer service skills
* Strong analytical problem-solving skills and critical thinking
* Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication
* Ability to plan and organize multiple tasks
* Solid work ethic and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
* Ability to work both independently and on team assignments
* Must be assertive, proactive, and seek work and clarification on issues/concerns that arise
* Self-motivated with the ability to act independently and demonstrate sound judgment
* Dependable, accountable, responsive, and committed to follow-through activities
