We are currently recruiting highly qualified candidates, whose background and career goals meet our needs, for the following position in our Huntsville, AL facility. Please note that due to our Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED
Position Title: Training Instructor
Job Purpose:
Training Instructor pose initiative as it relates to quality improvement, productivity and customer responsiveness. Must have the ability to interact with others in an effective and appropriate manner. Conducts supervisory, management or nontechnical skills training courses for internal staff
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
Conducts supervisory, management or nontechnical skills training courses for internal staff. Uses needs assessment tools to determine effectiveness of proposed training programs. Must possess the ability to develop new training programs as required, to support manufacturing requirements. Interacts with functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses. Conducts follow up to determine applicability of course material. Possess general knowledge about common hardware and software systems that aid in the training program development process. Must possess strong communication skills.
Education and Experience:
* Degree in Organizational Development, or Advanced Technical Project Management field is preferred
* Minimum of 2-5 years experience as a training instructor, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Prepares specific lesson plans including the method, media, and documentation to be presented. Instructs participants in classroom lectures and/or group sessions.
* Interacts with functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses; such as development of Shop Floor Data Collection System training course and other training courses as required.
* Must possess strong communications skills and have the initiative to promote quality improvement, productivity and customer responsiveness with all personal levels.
* Must effectively be able to address priorities, optimize balance to achieve desired output.
* Conducts follow up to determine applicability of course material and documents findings to drive continuous improvement.
* Maintains training records and plans for course material.
* Assists in on-line administration of courses both internally and externally.
* Interfaces with third party registrars, as required.
* Provides administrative support for the Quality Management System Documents as required
* Conducts compliance audits as assigned.
* Knowledge and understanding of software/hardware applications.
* Must be a team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong computer skills to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
