$15.25-$16.90 per hour
2nd and 3rd Shifts receive an additional $1.00 per hour!
PRIMARY DUTIES:
* Operate, change over, and troubleshoot sandblasting, shear, and boxing machines in Band Saw
* Inspect band saws for quality defects and pack according to FPI specifications
* Perform adjustments to machines & equipment as needed (change lengths, add sand, etc.)
* Complete O.I.R. (Operator Inspection Report) for shear and sandblast and communicate progress to incoming operator at shift change
* Maintain equipment, fixtures, and work area in good orderly condition
* Compliance with ISO, quality, and production requirements
* Exemplify 6S principals
* Notify supervisor, maintenance, or quality immediately when a problem occurs with any part of your job, equipment, or product
* Clearly identify product by item number, status, and quantity
* Maintain proper flow of product to meet Service Level goals
* Properly handle all scrap, rework & mixed product
* Perform other duties as assigned
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma or GED preferred
* Solid shop math skills and ability to work with decimals
* Proficient in reading & interpreting prints
* Basic mechanical ability; machine changes and operation experience
* Ability to use and operate basic tools, equipment, & gages
* Knowledge of SPC and basic computer skills such as machine controls & monitoring, and data entry
* Light physical effort required, equivalent to lifting, pushing, pulling 5 to 25 pounds
* Ability to read and write English; understand and comprehend instructions for safety and quality
* Flexibility to work overtime
* No written disciplinary action for violation of company policy, production or safety within last six months. No written disciplinary action for attendance within last 12 months.
