Job Description
Summary
The 1st Shift Order Processing Department is responsible for picking orders that have dropped in the WMS System. An associate is assigned a work area. The associate gets a group of labels from the printer in the work area. The associate scans the label header to tell the system which work list is being picked. The associate then picks the product, telling the system each location and the quantity of product picked as they proceed. The associate must input correct information into the system for the process to work correctly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Associates must be able to:
* Recognize work areas and be able to locate pick faces with Order Processing
* Verify the product and quantity information for each order
* Pick a complete order; depositing and arranging in the specified destination location
* Deposit order correctly onto the conveyor
* Maintain a clean work area
* Affix labels properly on cases
* Verify quality of product
* Demonstrate correct packing procedures
* Operate material handling equipment, once trained, to maintain appropriate flow of product to the Outbound area. This includes being able to operate a High Reach.
Basic Qualifications
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
* Minimum 6 months of warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience
* Minimum 3 6 months of High Reach forklift experience
* Experience with inventory and warehouse software, databases, and systems preferred
* Good organizational and time management skills
* Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
