The Senior Marketing Manager is a pivotal new role in the Bible marketing team. As the world continues to rapidly evolve the way it communicates, this key player will lead the charge in supporting the changing retail landscape so retail partnersboth online and traditionaland their customers can effectively experience print Bibles in a digital context.

The ideal candidate is an innovator who thrives on the iterative process of constant improvement. They must possess excellent writing skills with a passion for connecting features with customer needs. Significant experience in digital search engine optimization and marketing is required that includes direct ROI responsibility and ecommerce-based decision making.

Responsibilities

Innovation

* Stay on top of digital retail trends, developing and executing opportunities to improve retail partner and consumer-facing information
* Create and implement TN Bible team processes for curating and coding assets for global partner impact

Performance Marketing

* Manage metadata and Amazon merchandising for assigned titles
* Manage paid Amazon media for all Thomas Nelson Bibles to established KPIs

* Daily analysis and optimization based on results

* Build digital assets with a working knowledge of design, HTML and SEO using available tool sets and websites.

Product Marketing

* Manage the existing core Bible product line (aka backlist) across dozens of Bible projects and hundreds of SKUs.
* Develop deep, specific product and market knowledge across translations and product lines.

* Create sparkling promotion copy that beautifully describes how Bible features are solutions for readers

* Commission and curate best-in-class photography and video

* Other projects as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge. Product marketing, SEM & SEO, ROI-driven performance marketing

Work Experience: 5 or more years of experience in ecommerce/related field

Education: Bachelors degree

Industry Knowledge: Significant experience in SEM/SEO with P/L responsibility and decision making

Skills:

* Proven experience with and enthusiasm for performance marketing with an emphasis on analytics
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills

* Established knowledge of the content and structure of the Bible and an awareness of translation differences

* Proven sensitivity for understanding and addressing various Christian audiences

* Experience managing multiple competing priorities, duties, and/or projects.

* Strong organizational management skills with attention to detail. Must be able to work independently under tight deadlines and possess the skill to set priorities and problem solve.

* Successfully works cross-functionally with various members throughout the organization

* Strong proficiency in Excel and other Office applications

* Utilitarian experience of HTML, metadata, and SEO copywriting

* Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator or similar
