Position Overview

The University Relations Senior Specialist will be supporting the company-wide, internal and external initiatives focusing on enhancing construction education amongst our post-secondary partners within the US and Canada. The University Relations Senior Specialist will report to Talent Acquisition & Attraction, as part of the larger Kiewit Human Resources team. The position requires a self-directed, self-motivated, team player with strong attention to detail and prioritization skills who is willing to travel 25-30% across the USA and Canada where they will be partnering with internal business partners as well as faculty and students. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator (written and oral), have experience analyzing metrics to develop impactful event/program summaries, and display thoughtful, anticipatory leadership skills. Kiewit is looking for a person who is goal-oriented and adaptive to short term and long term needs of the team.

The Human Resources team is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit. In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence. Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization.

Location

This position is located at 1550 Mike Fahey Street. Connected to Kiewit University, the new Kiewit Plaza will provide a modern, state-of-the-art professional office environment in the emerging Builders District north of downtown Omaha.

Responsibilities

* University Relations Program Management
* Partner with internal operations and key stakeholders to promote/strategize for effective programming
* Implement Campus Engagement Plans with university administration, recruiting leadership, and operations personnel
* Assist in management of successful programs to show impact and effectiveness
* Track metrics ongoing, assess and evaluate annually & report on impact
* Provide recommendations for continuous cost-effective impact
* University Data & Analytics Management
* Maintain partnership with our HR Analytics team internally and implement consistent, strategic use of our University Comparison Dashboard with the business
* Leverage data with recruiting team and operational stakeholders when making decisions around campus engagements for their business units
* Partner to manage our Candidate Relationship Management system (Yello) effectiveness and utilization
* Act as a liaison between our recruiting leadership and key vendor contacts with external systems including Handshake and Yello
* Analyze metrics from event and report impact in summary document
* Identify ways to track or improve our team's utilization of internal and external systems
* Oversee University Recruiting/Relations budget in partnership with TAA Management
* Manage partnership opportunities with universities and organizations from a monetary donation/sponsorship standpoint
* Provide recommendations for continuous cost-effective impact
* Develop assessment for demographics and effectiveness

Qualifications

* Proficient in Microsoft Office products (specifically Teams, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Shows the ability to learn & navigate multiple systems; Yello CRM, Handshake, PowerBI/Tableau, SuccessFactors, SharePoint/OneDrive
* Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
* Must be organized. This includes time management, being task-orientated, and setting and meeting deadlines
* Ability to create and deliver engaging presentations
* 3-5+ years of working experience (construction or engineering industry experience preferred)
* Bachelors Degree preferred
* Personal characteristics: Strong ethics that will reflect positively on the company
* Comfortable with team collaboration related to presenting, shared files, calendar and email accounts
* Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish credibility as a strong performer and ability to work effectively with people at all levels of Kiewit
* A high level of analytical problem solving, critical thinking, planning and organizing skills
* Thrives in a fast-paced and changing environment
