Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

* Assist with the supervision and direction of contractors and monitors performance of their assigned responsibilities. Performs and/or directs the performance of assigned maintenance service requests, insuring that work performed in these areas is accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience
* Performs building and equipment maintenance and repairs
* Assist the Chief Engineer and other building team members in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment as needed
* Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts
* Minor HVAC, plumbing & electrical repairs
* Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
* Performs predictive maintenance, preventative maintenance, maintenance routines and equipment rounds and service requests as directed
* Respond and perform emergency repairs or preventative maintenance off hours as directed on nights and weekends
* Performs all duties in a safe manner, comply with all safety procedures and maintaining clean and safe work areas in accordance with established work standards and practices
* Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them
* Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
* Participate in the annual JLL Engineering Operations Compliance Program (OCP), working to achieve an agreed upon a passing score as determined by the General Manager
* Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed, using work order system
* Other assigned operational tasks as may be typically expected of the Operating Engineer role
* Provide on-call response as required

Qualifications

* Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state drivers license.
* Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable, have a minimum of one (3) years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
* Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, Windows based computers and have good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
* Ability to use hand tools, power tools and other equipment required to complete job tasks
* High school diploma or GED equivalent

* Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed Policies & Procedures.
* Successful candidate must be self-motivated who can work independently or on a team.
