Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM CIO organization is looking for an Iteration Manager (IM) for the Gaia/CPQ Central Development and Delivery team in Research Triangle Park, NC. The Iteration Manager will keep the squad focused on their continuous delivery goals via a methodology grounded in Agile principles, incorporating processes and communications inherent to our larger organization. This role will require strong networking and relationship management with extended teams in various time zones.
The IM maintains a closer relationship with the Squad Lead and Product Owners, continuously iterating on local Agile practices such prioritizing the backlog for future sprint plans, ensuring new issues are assessed in a timely fashion and that team members are aware and fully engaged in working squad priorities. This important role has a direct impact on the squads results, as they help to protect the team through clarification of need and action, while helping to organize removal of blockers so the we can efficiently achieve our prioritized goals.

This position supports a team that plays a significant role in supporting critical processes and function within Gaia/CPQ Central that support its ability to communicate pricing in support of ordering processes, configure provisioning of ordered products, provide critical account and order information to IBMs Customers, among other key capabilities. In this fast paced and expanding organization, we foster an environment of continuous innovation and working in Agile teams. We are co-located in RTP, NC but maintain a responsible consideration of health and safety practices - which includes ongoing support for an in-office/remote office balance during these unusual times.

The Team
CPQ/CLM (US) Squad is responsible for the development and expansion of platform capabilities in the Configure, Price, Quote space through Proposal acceptance and Invoice generation. Enable Contract Lifecycle Management in support of template authoring and various contracting vehicle.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Agile Iteration Manager for software development.
* Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Demonstrated experience in
* Coaching teams in effective use of the scrum events: daily standup, backlog review, sprint planning, sprint playback and retrospective.
* Resolving conflict with a continual focus on the scrum values of openness, honesty, commitment, courage and respect.
* Collaborating effectively with the Squad Lead/Product Owner and customer organizations, supporting management of the product backlog and planning deliverables based on empirical data.
* Training the development team in effort estimation, iteration planning for reliable delivery and making visible all work being done in the team.
* Executing iteration and release planning with a view to deliver maximum value as early as possible.
* Understanding individual and group interactions and facilitating conversations towards consensus aligned to relevant goals and priorities.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Exposure to development of cloud-based enterprise systems with a significant number of users
* Experience and knowledge of user facilitation techniques
* Knowledge of business requirements prioritization techniques
* Assessing the Agile Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
* Higher level of agile project management certification a plus.
* Experience of project management and delivery tracking tools, specifically JIRA, certification
