Cybersecurity Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Assist a team of Cyber architects, engineers, penetration testers, and analysts on vulnerability identification and threat exposures. Apply principles, theories, concepts, and working-level industry knowledge. Solve routine problems of moderate scope and complexity and refer more complex issues to higher levels. Oversees the work of junior staff in concert with project leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with applying engineering to IT or cyber problems

-Experience with technical writing on engineering or computer science engagements

-Knowledge of engineering or computer science principles

-Ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential vulnerabilities or threats within those systems from an engineering perspective

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

- BA or BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or CS

-Ability to obtain Security+ Certification within 3 months of hire

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with space and ground systems or vehicles

-Knowledge of Risk Management Framework, DoD 8500, DoD 8510, NIST SP 800-30, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, or NIST SP 800-137

-Ability to evaluate risk using likelihood and impact analysis based on a comprehension of engineering and computer science principles

-Active Secret clearance

-Security+ Certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAM Level I or IAT Level II

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Compensation:
The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 76,000 to 90,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
