The service comes with unlimited photo storage for Prime members and apps are available on iOS, Android, Web, Desktop, Fire Tablet & Fire TV. The service is also integrated into Alexa devices such as Echo Show and Echo Spot. Amazon Photos is the latest digital offering to consumers released on the heels of the Amazon Music and Amazon Video offerings. We have ambitious goals to scale growth and adoption of the service around the world and delight our customers with a great product.
We are looking for an innovative Software Development Engineer for the Amazon Prints team. Amazon Prints helps customer relive their memories in physical form by purchasing Photo books, Wall Art through mobile and web applications. In this role, you will be solving problems on both the client side and server side to deliver the best printing experience for the customer. You will be part of a full-stack development team, leveraging Java and JavaScript programming languages and AWS services in a fast-paced, start-up like environment with business experiencing a massive growth.

What you will do: When given a business problem, you will work with the Senior and Principal Engineers to create a technical strategy and deliver with limited guidance. You have a high attention to detail, working closely with product and technical partners to create meaningful change. You solve complex architecture and business problems. Your solutions are extensible and you work to simplify, optimize, and remove bottlenecks. You focus on end to end architecture. You mentor team members and help grow the team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C including object-oriented design
1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experience in web technologies and distributed system design and architecture
Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
Experience in communicating with stakeholders, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features and technical design.
Experience influencing software engineering best practices within your team.
Ability to test and debug both new and legacy systems.
